Ebeny Wood

Beacon Foundation, Collective ed.
Collective ed. Director
Hobart, TAS
Ebeny came to Beacon Foundation from the University of Tasmania, where she was undertaking her doctorate on secondary student school disengagement. Her honours work was also in the field of education, with a focus on social change and schooling.
Ebeny has been with Beacon since October 2007, and enjoys the variety of challenges her role offers. She has been involved in the design and implementation of Beacon's evaluation toolkit, right through to the collection, analysis and reporting of data. Ebeny has also been fortunate to be able to transfer from Hobart to Sydney, then to Perth and now back in Hobarts Head Office; this opportunity allowed her to experience Australia.
Ebeny Wood is now the Director of Collective ed. at The Beacon Foundation. Ebeny has worked at Beacon for the past 9 years and was instrumental in the design of the approach; utilising Beacon’s extensive on the ground knowledge and expertise alongside latest systems and human centered design thinking.
