Meg Beilken is a Principal Adviser within State Government with 10 years’ experience in policy design and implementation across early childhood, schools, youth services and the out-of-home-care system.

Currently, Meg is leading a cross-sectoral, collective impact initiative aiming to prevent family violence and improve outcomes for young people at risk of entering, in and transitioning from out-of-home-care in Outer Eastern Melbourne. This includes leading the co-design, implementation and shared measurement of innovative service delivery models to improve housing, employment and community connection outcomes for young people with a care experience.

Meg is committed to transforming the way government delivers human and social services, working ‘from the inside-out’. Meg regularly brings diverse stakeholders together to problem-solve wicked problems and is passionate about the authentic involvement of children and young people in the design and delivery of services that affect them.

With a strong focus on continuous learning and improvement, Meg strongly believes in testing and trialling new approaches with end users and community to inform systems and policy change. Meg brings a variety of theories and frameworks to life in this work, including systems theory, community development, co-design, developmental evaluation, adaptive leadership, appreciative inquiry and positive psychology.
