Nolan Stephenson
Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development Principal Policy Officer Evaluation
Perth, Western Australia
I use evaluative thinking, methodologies and promote a culture of evaluation to create an environment where evaluation is accepted as a holistic approach to inform and guide policy, investment and project implementation. In my current role, I evaluate regional development initiatives to demonstrate the impacts of interventions on regional communities.
I am keen to discuss ideas for monitoring projects, developing M&E plans, program design, evaluation frameworks and evaluation at the policy or program level.
My career in the public sector in Western Australia has spanned providing commercial advice and facilitating access to private and government funding across a variety of industries. I have managed a range of industry, innovation and science functions catering to clients from small business to the university sector. This involved complex commercial and financial developments across multiple levels in government, industry and commerce. My skills include negotiating funding agreements, sourcing financial resource availability, commercial problem resolution and developing strategies to ensure sustainable commercial operations.
