Department of Health and Human Services Victoria
Assistant Director, Centre for Evaluation and Research
In my current role as Assistant Director of the Centre for Evaluation and Research at the Department of Health and Human Services, I am working to build an evaluation culture across a large government department of over 12,000 employees. My team and I aim to improve the use of data and evidence to support a culture of learning, improvement, innovation and planning, and importantly to improve the quality of services provided to all Victorians.
I have led the development of a department wide Strategic Evaluation Plan, Evaluation Policy, and Guidelines to support the development of the department's learning culture and am leading a team that currently supports over 90 evaluation projects across the health and human services portfolios.
I have also supported the development and rollout of evaluation training to over 500 Department of Health and Human Services, as well as local government and community organisation stakeholders, to support widespread organisational and community change.
I am a member of the Victorian Committee of the Australasian Evaluation Society and am presenting in multiple sessions at the conference. I also lead the Victorian Public Sector Evaluation Network.
